Rhode Island's Supreme Court Judicial Records Center is the central repository for these types of court records for Rhode Island. Any and all court cases and records are stored in the office of the county clerks at their respective court houses. For requests concerning archived historical court records between 1671 and 1900, it is advised to contact the judicial records center. For more current court records, the specific courthouse of jurisdiction needs to be contacted. It is recommended that requests are made in written form. A small fee may be required in order to receive copies of any documents.
