Pennsylvania Court Records

If you wish to obtain Pennsylvania court records, the county clerks may or may not choose to require that you indentify yourself with an appropriate proof of identification. They also choose to require a written reason for wanting to look into the court records of the specific court case in question. Identification is almost always required for processing when mail or electronic transfer methods are involved. The custodians of the court records of Pennsylvania will make every effort to fulfill requests with both accuracy and in a timely manner. While it is their duty to provide requested records to the general public, they will not do so at the cost of other duties related to the maintaining of the overall body of records. These records at times contain confidential information which may be omitted from copies which are released to the public.
