North Dakota Court Records

North Dakota court records which are maintained by state organizations and government bodies are available for viewing by the general public during regular office hours. Residents are generally not required to provide notice in order to access public records during regular office hours. While notices are not required in order to view any of the court records of North Dakota, it is highly suggested that notices are provided for any requests which require that the records be retrieved, redacted, or reviewed. Clerks will make every effort to arrive at meeting time which is mutually agreeable by both parties of interest. Court clerks may use their discretion when supervising the viewing of any North Dakota court records. It is the clerk's responsibility to maintain the integrity of the court records of North Dakota. Failure to maintain this integrity can result in errors, omissions, and other negative consequences from lack of data integrity whether electronic or otherwise.
